Rules
The room, in plain words.
Read this before you create an account. Creating an account means you agree.
What this room is
Count Our Voices is a civic room. People write questions. People say for, against, or not sure. The count is what those people said. It is a place to see a live public feeling, not a news feed and not a campaign.
Not an election
A mark here does not cast a ballot in Florida or in any other state, county, or country. It is not a government vote, a scientific poll, or a prediction. Florida items are a reading copy for November 3, 2026. The official card comes from your Supervisor of Elections. After an election, a page may stay up as a record of what people said, or change to ask how they voted. That is still not the official result.
Who may join
You must be 18 or older to create an account. One person, one account. A second account is a second voice, and that breaks the count.
What you write
You are responsible for what you post. No threats, harassment, or spam. The desk can hide or archive a question that breaks these rules. Hiding it removes it from the square. It does not pretend the count never happened.
What is stored
The account stores your email, name, a scrambled password, state, Florida county if you live there, age range, and a scrambled recovery word. A vote is tied to the account so one person cannot vote twice. Your name is not shown next to your vote. The public page shows the count, not who cast it. We do not sell that information. The company that hosts the site can see the database the way any host can. That is not the same as publishing it.
ID check
The ID check is not open. When it is, a separate verification company checks the document. The photo and the ID number are not kept on this site and are not shown here. A verified voice is counted beside the full count. An unverified voice still counts in the full total.
The site can fail
The site is offered as it is. It may be down, slow, or wrong about a fact you should check yourself. To the extent the law allows, Count Our Voices is not liable for decisions you make from what you read here, or for what another person writes. Some states do not allow every limit, so those limits apply only as far as the law allows. This is not a promise that you can never bring a claim.
